The EU – Viet Nam Energy Facility (EVEF) is jointly implemented by the European Union (EU) and GIZ in Viet Nam. This project is part of the Energy Sector Policy Support Program (ESPSP) signed between Viet Nam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the EU. The project aims to strengthen state management in the energy sector to promote sustainable energy development in Viet Nam and contribute to the implementation of the necessary legal framework for the Southeast Asia country to achieve its commitments on reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The project has achieved significant results since it was implemented at the beginning of 2018.
The Voice of Vietnam (VOV1) had an interview with Mr. Sven Ernedal, EVEF’s Project Director about those results, including in the rooftop solar power market, which is attracting more investors.
