The training program “Train the Trainer Programme on Installation of Rooftop Solar PV systems” held from 6 – 10 June, 2022 at the Ninh Thuan Vocational College, within the framework of the cooperation program between the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project (4E) and Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam (TVET).

Participants of the event were 16 lecturers from Ninh Thuan Vocational College, 2 in-company trainers. The programme is coordinated by the instructors from Syntegra Solar and the Renewables Academy (RENAC).

The objective of the training program is to support in improving practical skills on rooftop solar PV systems in Viet Nam the lecturers at the Ninh Thuan Vocational College. At the same time, the program also introduces effective didactic skills, thereby contributing to improving participants’ guiding skills when teaching in the future.

During the 5 days of training, trainees were instructed to inspect and evaluate solar cells, analyze the impact of shade on the system’s performance, as well as be introduced to faults, encounter ways to handle faults in the installation and operation of rooftop solar power systems. Health and safety requirements and regulations during the installation of the system are also covered in the course. In particular, the trainees had the opportunity to visit the rooftop solar power system in Puro Ninh Thuan Co., Ltd.

The series of events is a continuation of 03 online training programs that were successfully held in 2021 to equip theoretical knowledge about rooftop solar PV systems, components, and PV panels, ect.
