Evening Class on Wind Power

Under the MOIT/GIZ project “Support for Up-Scaling of Wind Power in Viet Nam”, the component “Capacity Development for Wind Power Project Development and Financing” is organising the Evening Class on Wind Power. The training course lasts 10 weeks , two hours per week, from 15h:00 to 17h:00 on weekly Friday starting from Friday 30th September . The course takes place at Meeting room, 3rd Floor, C15 Building Hanoi University of Technology and Science – No.1, Dai Co Viet street, Hanoi.

Purpose of the course:
The purpose of the class is to provide knowledge and share our international know how in order to contribute to the development of the wind power sector in Vietnam. The class shall be suitable for all stakeholders of interest.

Objectives of the course:

  • At the end of the training course: Participants will have basic understanding of wind power and wind turbine technologies on the world;
  • Participants will have a basic understanding of steps in development of a wind power project as well as policies and incentive types for wind power projects in Vietnam

Lecturers
The training course will be held by our three local experts Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Mich, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung and Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai with their in-depth knowledge of the specificities of wind power in Vietnam, and by our Head of Component Capacity Development of the MOIT/GIZ Up-Scaling of Wind Power in Viet Nam project, Mr. Roland Ries with his more than 20 years of experience in wind farm project development as technical advisor on both Owner’s and Lender’s sides with a strong focus on Asia.

This Evening Class forms part of a large series of trainings that will be provided by GIZ on Wind Power Project Development and on Wind Power Project Financing and Due Diligence.
