At present, hundreds of solar power projects have been registered, of which many projects of less than 50 MW in capacity have been registered on the provincial level. There are high demands in the local authorities for further information and knowledge about technical evaluation of the project. The understanding of existing international and national technical standards of solar power plants will certainly facilitate the process of assessment and evaluation of the provinces to be more efficient and transparent.

Acknowledging the needs and necessity of the topics to be discussed and exchanged, under the EU – Vietnam Energy Facility project, EREA, and GIZ organize workshops to share and provide to all relevant stakeholders with standards applied to solar projects in Vietnam such as construction, equipment, installation, and operation as well as environmental standards; provide information and best practices on suitable standards in international projects.

11h20 – 11h50: Solar resource integration – Smart grid perspective

11h50 – 12h20: Introduction of the translated version of some IEC standards for solar PV system
