On December 15, 2021, the Awards Ceremony for the “Energy Efficiency Award in Industry – Construction in 2021, TOP RUNNER 2021” will be held to honor industrial enterprises and individuals with achievements in energy management, using energy economically and efficiently; thereby raising the awareness of the community and businesses, promoting economical and efficient use of energy, promoting solutions that have been successfully applied in enterprises.
Details of the Ceremony:
- Time: 7:30 – 11:30, December 15, 2021
- Venue: on-site at The Hanoi Club and online via MS Teams and livestreamed on GIZ Energy Support Programme Facebook page.
The Ceremony is chaired by the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Association (VECEA) and organized by GIZ.

The “Energy Efficiency Award in Industry – Construction 2021; TOP RUNNER 2021” was launched by the Office of the Steering Committee for Energy Efficiency – Ministry of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency Association (VECEA). 37 businesses and 27 individuals submitted applications for the awards. 11 businesses and 7 individuals were selected to receive the awards, three of whom are female.
Over the past years, Germany, through GIZ, has supported the Government of Vietnam in realizing the goal of promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency. GIZ has had many activities to support the application of solutions to improve energy efficiency in the industry sector, helping to bring positive economic, environmental, and social benefits to Vietnam. In this program, GIZ sponsors the enterprise that wins the First Prize with 01 energy efficiency and communication technical support package equivalent to 300 million dong; the individual with excellent achievements is awarded 01 course on energy efficiency equivalent to 50 million dong, among many other prizes.
