GIZ and Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN-HCMC) jointly organised the “Training course on capacity building for EVNHCMC in digital transformation” on August 17-18 in the city.

The objectives of the training were to create a forum for in-depth exchange of international experiences and discuss suitable solutions to Viet Nam’s context in terms of digital platforms, technologies and data, which will optimise the corporation’s business activities and their customers’ experience. Both speakers and attendees also discussed the practical application of AI in the power distribution process.

Representatives of GIZ, Vietnam Electricity, the municipal EVN and other subordinate electricity power companies participated in the training. The invited speakers were Australia’s leading experts in digital transformation from ETLabs – Global Large Enterprise and Startup Support System Startupbootcamp and Kinkora Consulting and Consulting Company.

The training course is a part of the Commercial and Industrial Rooftop Solar (CIRTS) project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

GIZ and the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority of Viet Nam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade are jointly implementing CIRTS.
