Markus Bissel is the Project Director of the BMZ-funded projects Promoting the Transition of the Energy Sector in Viet Nam (TEV) and the upcoming H2Growth Project. Furthermore, he leads the Energy Partnership Project and Project Development Programme on Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen, which BMWK funds. He also worked on the topics of Smart Grids and Energy Efficiency in the industry within GIZ.
Before joining GIZ in 2019, Markus Bissel was the technical manager of a municipal energy and water supplier in Germany and gained more than 20 years of professional experience in the energy sector. He holds a German diploma in process engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld, Germany.
