Viet Nam has all factors to promote renewable energy, for instance, technical potential, political will and access to advanced technologies, according to Ms. Vu Chi Mai, Team Leader of Renewable Energy Component of 4E Project, which is part of the GIZ Energy Support Programme.
“In 2020, there were two milestones for the development of solar energy in Viet Nam. We ranked the 8th in the world regarding total investment in solar power and the 5th in the world in terms of total installed capacity, which used to be Germany’s place. Meanwhile, Germany is actively supporting Viet Nam in leveraging solar power,” she added.
