Training workshop – Resource optimization of sugar production process with a focus on energy for local sugar mills

Under the commission of German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and within the framework of the Climate Finance Readiness Programme (CF Ready), GIZ is organizing a training on “Resource optimization of sugar production process with a focus on energy for local sugar mills” in three days, from 07 – 09, August, 2018 by international trainer and national trainer.

The training will provide participants from sugar mills with general information about global and local sugar industry, biomass sector, energy efficiency and the cogeneration – Combined heat and power technology in sugar industry. Policy, regulation and implementation steps for a cogeneration project in Vietnam and examples of cogeneration projects in sugar industry will also be introduced. On the final day of the workshop, the training programme will focus on topics including controlling, monitoring, measuring system as well as the operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities.

  • Venue: The Hanoi Club Hotel & Lake Palais Residences, 76 Yen Phu, Tay Ho, Hanoi.
  • Participants: Representatives from local sugar mills.
