At the Viet Nam’s Technology and Energy Forum, Mr. Sven Enerdal, Director of GIZ’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (4E) Project, put Viet Nam’s energy development policies in high regard, at the same time proposed several ideas to tackle difficulties in the energy transition process.

Believing that the energy sector requires a long-term strategy, he suggested that Viet Nam have its energy development vision for the next 20 to 30 years.

He said that four key goals should be accomplished, as follows: environment protection; energy security; renewable resource security and more investment into the energy field.

Eventually, he stressed the importance of raising citizen’s awareness on the matter, preparing for the energy transition in the future.
