To help financial institutions identify investment chances to the bioenergy sector, GIZ in cooperation with the Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority (EREA)/Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOIT) will organise a kick-off workshop ‘Opportunities of shaping the future bioenergy supply in Viet Nam’.

The event will present an overall picture of bioenergy and a range of economic potentials from which financial institutions can benefit. Speakers will be GIZ experts and national and international investors who have rich experience of the sector.

The activity falls within the framework of the ‘Climate Protection through Sustainable Bioenergy Markets in Viet Nam’ (BEM) project, which is jointly implemented by the EREA/MOIT and GIZ. The project is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU).
