The Women in Energy Vietnam (WEVN) network, in cooperation with the GIZ Energy Support Programme (GIZ ESP), is organizing a two-day Basic Training Course on Green Hydrogen (GH2) and Power-to-X (PtX) for women in the energy sector. The course will take place on November 28-29, 2024, in Hanoi. This training will provide the participants with foundation knowledge on producing secondary energy products (PtX/GH2) using renewable energy worldwide and in Viet Nam. The course also includes a site-visit to observe real-life GH2 applications and production.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Participants:
- Members of the Women in Energy Vietnam Network, or
- If you are not a member, you can register for membership before registering for the course (free of charge).
Number of participants: 20-25 individuals
Criteria:
- Female Vietnamese professionals with at least 3 years of experience in the energy sector.
- Interested in promoting sustainable energy transition in Viet Nam.
Location: Hanoi
Tuition fee: Free. For participants traveling from outside Hanoi, GIZ will cover all travel and accommodation costs.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRAINING COURSE

Proposed Curriculum: The course is designed with modules covering different topics that provide a general introduction to GH2 industry and PtX, including:
- GH2 production process and PtX
- GH2 economy
- Infrastructure for GH2 development
- Market structure, regulations, and policies for GH2 development in Viet Nam
The basic training course on Green Hydrogen and Power-to-X for women in the energy sector is jointly organized by the Women in Energy Viet Nam (WEVN) Network and the GIZ Energy Support Programme, within the framework of the Vietnamese-German Climate & Energy Dialogue, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). The program supports female professionals in enhancing their knowledge of GH2 and PtX industries – emerging fields with significant potential that play a crucial role in promoting a sustainable and just energy transition in Viet Nam.
