Energy Advisor/PtX Outreach
Vo Thanh Tung is an Energy Advisor for PtX Outreach and H2Growth project under the GIZ Energy Support Program (GIZ ESP), where he leverages his expertise in policy advisory, technology transfer, and capacity building for the green hydrogen industry. Prior to promoting green hydrogen topics, Vo Thanh Tung contributed significantly to rural electrification and energy information system initiatives fot Viet Nam. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.

Lan Anh is a Energy Advisor at GIZ ESP. With more than 13 years of experience in international cooperation, including nearly 05 years working in the energy sector with a specialisation in the green hydrogen field, she held various positions in many projects focusing on action areas such as capacity building, technical cooperation and energy policy. She is eager to contribute to promoting the green hydrogen market in Viet Nam. Lan Anh holds an International Master’s Degree in Business Administration and has received special training in renewable energy, particularly in green hydrogen and PtX. She possesses extensive knowledge in this field from both global and local perspectives.
Lan Anh is a Energy Advisor at GIZ ESP. Tran Vu Diem Hang began her role as an Energy Advisor for BEM and CIRTS with the GIZ Energy Support Programme (GIZ ESP) since January 2022. In this position, she focuses on capacity building for key stakeholders and supports technology collaboration in the development of power projects, with an emphasis on rooftop solar, biomass, and biogas. Tran Vu Diem Hang has twenty years of experience in the development sector, particularly in the environment and energy. She worked as a Verification specialist on Result – based Water and Sanitation program for the World Bank, supply chain specialist in the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) and Project Manager of Multi Actor Partnership toward 100% Renewable Energy for implementing NDC in Green Innovation and Development Center (GreenID). She is involved in program design, communication, capacity building, monitoring, and policy advocacy across various environmental and energy projects. With her educational background and diverse experience, Hang aims to advance a fair energy transition in Viet Nam. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English linguistics and a Master’s in Climate Change at Vietnam National University.

Le Van Hoang joined GIZ ESP in March 2023 and currently serves as an Energy Advisor for the CIRTS project. With nearly 16 years of experience in the electricity sector, he has collaborated with various authorities, including ERAV, EVN, and PCs. Drawing on his diverse experience and educational background, he aims to contribute effectively to the technical solutions for both the CIRTS project and GIZ ESP. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Power System Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Nguyen Hong Ngoc Trang

Trang is a team member of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (4E) Project/EU – MOIT/GIZ Energy Support Programme, mainly focusing on Energy Efficiency Capacity Development. Trang holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the Hamburg University of Technology and is also a MOIT Certified Energy Auditor. She has more than 10 years of working in Energy Efficiency and Energy Management within the private sector and Alternative Fuels & Raw Material in the cement industry in Vietnam. She has held various positions, including project consultant, project manager, business development manager. Her passion is to promote Energy Efficiency as an Energy Resource for sustainable business & society.

Bich Phuong joined GIZ on October 1st 2020 as National Intern for the Energy Efficiency component of the 4E project. She is currently in her 2nd year of a Master’s Degree in International Material Flow Management offered by the Trier University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Before that, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University and worked in Azbil Corporation in Japan, focusing on building automation system and ESCO business. She hopes to gain valuable experiences and insights of the energy market while contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam via her work in GIZ.

Doan Tran Thao Nguyen joined the Energy Support Program in October 2022. She is working as a Project Officer in the Project Development Programme. Prior to GIZ, Thao Nguyen worked for Netherlands Consulate in HCMC. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Management from Technical University of Berlin, Germany.

Nguyen Duc Minh is the leading Technical Advisor in the Project Development Programme (PDP), focusing on process heat and green hydrogen topics. He started working at GIZ ESP in December 2021 for the Bioenergy project and later for PtX Outreach project in the emerging field of green hydrogen and PtX. He has almost ten years of experience in the development sector, especially in thermal energy and the environment. He was a Senior Energy Advisor in the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV) and a Biomass and Boiler Consultant in the GERES organization. He gained experience in different energy projects, including improved cookstoves, biogas, biomass, solar pumping, boiler, and heat equipment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Heat and Refrigeration from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and a master’s degree in natural products from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.

Pham Thanh Hai joined the Energy Support Program in July 2022. He is working as a Project Officer in the Project Development Programme. Prior to GIZ, Pham Thanh Hai worked for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from HCMC Transport University.

Hoa graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and passed various roles during his working 16 years but mainly as: Head of Electrical Department in EPC coal fired power project management boards (Uong Bi 1x300MW, Vung Ang 2x600MW, Song Hau 2x600MW); Project Officer/ Technical engineer in charge of technical/ bidding works for several substation projects (Vung Ang 220kV, Song Hau/ Long Phu 500kV) and other industrial projects. His past experience is focusing on the power project management works, electrical design review, bidding works. Hoa joined the MOIT/GIZ Energy Support Programme from 1st November 2018.

Minh Tam started working for GIZ ESP in July 2021. She focuses on capacity building for related stakeholders and supporting the development of a legal framework for renewable energy projects, especially rooftop solar, biomass, and biogas. Tam is a passionate professional in compliance and regulatory requirements, government engagement and policy analysis. Before joining GIZ ESP, Tam worked for multicultural firms (Canon Vietnam Co. Ltd, WWF-Vietnam) on environmental engineering, environmental management systems, climate diplomacy, manufacturing and mining sectors, and now specialises in the electricity sector. She earned a Master of Public Policy from the School of Public Policy and Management, Fulbright University Vietnam, and a BSc in Geology from Vietnam National University. She is the EnerTracks Energy Transition Fellow at Agora Energiewende, Smart Energy for Europe Platform (SEFEP) GmbH.

With more than 17 years of experience, she specializes in legal and policy advisory and development, especially in the energy sector. Ngoc Thuy previously worked in the legal departments of various government authorities, including the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Viet Nam under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Viet Nam Electricity, and the Commission for the Management of State Capital at enterprises. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International – Economic Law and a Master’s in Commercial Law from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
